Pacific Grove Hyperbaric Chamber

The Pacific Grove Hyperbaric Chamber, operated entirely by on-call volunteers, provides emergency medical treatment for SCUBA diving and carbon monoxide related injuries. The Pacific Grove Hyperbaric Chamber is the only multi-place chamber for SCUBA divers and carbon monoxide patients between Southern California and Seattle, Washington.

The chamber's volunteer staff include medical doctors (MDs), registered nurses (RNs), respiratory therapists (RRTs), dive meidcal technicians (DMTs) emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and other trained personnel.  The Pacific Grove Chamber's MDs are trained to national standards set by the Undersea Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).  The chamber crew is trained to the national standards of the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT).

Pacific Grove's Hyperbaric Chamber can treat patients for decompression sickness, decompression illness, arterial gas embolism and carbon monoxide poisoning.  CMSF accepts donations on behalf of the PG Hyperbaric Chamber.  Donations to the chamber maintain operations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.   No donation is too small, all gifts ensure this much needed, lifesaving resource remains open and operational.
