Offshore Wind Environmental
Monitoring Guidance
Building a Collaborative Roadmap for Comprehensive Environmental Monitoring in California
Literature Database
Welcome to the California Floating Offshore Wind (FOSW) Literature Database—a collection of peer-reviewed publications and grey literature related to environmental monitoring and potential environmental impacts of floating offshore wind. Working groups from CMSF's Monitoring Road-Map for offshore wind contributed to gathering these resources, focusing on the effects of FOSW on habitats, ecosystems, fish and invertebrates, seabirds and bats, and sea turtles and marine mammals.
You can sort the database by these categories using the “Group By” function in the upper left. This collaborative effort is continuously evolving. To suggest a resource, just click here and fill out the form with the reference information. The database was compiled through the leadership of Eliza Thomas and Ben Ruttenberg (CalPoly SLO), and Connor King (UCSD), in partnership with CMSF.
