HADLEY CLARK

Program Associate, Offshore Wind Program

Hadley recently completed her M.S. in Biological Oceanography at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, where she used passive acoustic tracking to study the dive behavior and vertical habitat use of false killer whales and short-finned pilot whales off Lāna‘i, Hawai‘i, with the goal of better understanding their interactions with fisheries to help inform conservation and management efforts. During her time at Scripps, Hadley also served as an Industry Relations & Innovation Fellow, fostering partnerships between researchers, startups, and industry partners through programs such as the StartBlue Ocean Enterprise Accelerator.

Prior to graduate school, she worked at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution’s Marine Animal Remote Sensing Lab for 4 years, leading offshore fieldwork and data analysis focused on North Atlantic right whale conservation and ship strike mitigation. Hadley is passionate about serving as a liaison between science, industry, management, and policy to advance collaborative and effective ocean conservation.
